a song for victoria

'The eyes are the window to the soul' Would you like to hear a story? Then I'll begin.. My band was booked to play a gig in Bulgaria..after a 2 hour journey to the airport followed by a 3 hour flight we arrived at Sofia airport. What the venue had neglected to tell our agent was that we had a further 6 hour drive ahead of us to get to the venue! By the time we got there we had been travelling for almost 14 hours (with the waiting at the airport) We were shattered. I got 3 hours sleep before getting up to go and do a soundcheck. after doing this I had to sort out some technical details.. my singer had gone to a bar to watch the FA cup final (it was 15th may 2010). I went to discuss something about the gig. thats when I saw this waitress..wow! she looked damned gorgeous. I asked her how you say 'thank you' in Bulgarian in order to strike up a conversation. She told me to say 'Merci' as English people are rubbish with languages (this is true).. Her English was excellent..it turned out she lived for 13 years only 40 miles away from me. She went back to the bar and luckily with all this football going on-there wasn't any work to be done as all the blokes were engrossed with it. I called her over and we talked some more..only this time, I felt the full effect of her eyes on me. She also had an absolute killer of a smile.. I wanted to tell her how amazing her eyes were and I briefly fumbled searching for the words before realising they were electric. when I said 'the effect of ...
